Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced instructors and food enthusiasts to join our team as part-time instructors for the fall season. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in culinary arts/ nutrition, previous experience in childcare programs, and a passion for teaching children. As a Culinary Education Instructor, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate children about healthy eating habits through engaging culinary activities.

Job Description:

Position: Part-Time Culinary Education Instructor
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Day and Evening Shifts, Monday to Saturday

Responsibilities:
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate, engaging, and hands-on culinary lessons for children aged 2-17.
- Teach and demonstrate proper cooking techniques, food safety practices, and nutrition principles.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering children's enthusiasm for healthy eating.
- Collaborate with other instructors to develop engaging lesson plans and curriculum materials.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about children's progress and any relevant updates.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Assist in planning and executing special events, showcases, or community outreach initiatives.
- Perform administrative duties, including maintaining incident reports, sign-in logs, and relevant documentation.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a childcare setting.
- Culinary experience and a strong knowledge of nutrition principles.
- Certification or degree in nutrition, culinary arts, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all ages.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young chefs to develop their culinary skills and creativity.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, cuisines, and dietary requirements.
- Valid food handler's certificate or willingness to obtain one prior to employment.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable car for commuting.

Our programs are conducted at various locations throughout Los Angeles County, including Inglewood, Long Beach, Hawthorne, Gardena, Carson, and more.
