Who you are:

You have experience in clinical assessment, individual therapy, family therapy and group support services.

You know local Maryland resources to support individuals and families

You have strong interpersonal skills and are comfortable collaborating with multiple stakeholders and referral sources

You are pragmatic, yet curious and open-minded to exploring new ways of doing things

You have experience working with diverse populations and knowledge of trauma responsive evidenced base treatment services

Where you'll be:

Provide outpatient mental health services and assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, telehealth from home or at one of our onsite locations Easton, Cambridge, or Salisbury.

Prefer an office or hybrid telehealth schedule? Not a problem! We have plenty of options for your working preferences at one of our locations on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

Accomplishments You Need:

Maryland Board Licensed Mental Health Professional Counselor or Social Worker

Willingness to participate in professional development trainings annually

Maintain requirements of appropriate state licensure boards. Licensed or certified as behavioral health or counselor preferred.

Overall Duties Responsibilities:

1. Initial and follow-up contact with consumers and families requesting information, therapy services, and community referral sources, scheduling clients with the appropriate service and provider.

2. Having an empathetic and supportive attitude towards all consumers and families we serve is a must.

3. Schedule new consumer intake assessment appointments and explain new consumer policies, procedures, clinic paperwork, and human rights in a clear simple, and professional manner.

4. Schedule Internal/External Referrals, Follow up with EHR appointment requests and following up with the referring sources communicating participation in services with signed release from consumer

5. Maintain open communication with the Wellness Center Receptionist Staff, Counselors, Clinical Supervisor, Operations Manager Clinical Director related to consumer process in weekly staffing's

6. Maintain pre-registration/Screening forms and ensure documents have been scanned to the EHR for tracking and updating Intake documents for scheduling needs

7. Assist consumer in accessing EHR patient portal, forms as well as tracking intake forms for prospective consumers, coordinate and record intake emails for correspondence from providers/consumers, referral sources

8. Input new consumer-reported information related to insurance information, Next of Kin, gender identity, sexual orientation, demographics, status, medical history, current medications goals, and advance directives in EHR

9. Process all incoming intakes – gathering additional information as needed documenting information in the EHR send notices to the Clinical Director for Each New Consumer provided an Assessment appointment

10. Complete walk-in intakes, assessments, and referrals to inpatient treatment as needed- Schedule screening and assessment notifying the Clinical Director of all Same Day Scheduled

Urgent Screenings and Assessments to inform intake when walks ins occur to live in EHR and by phone for supervision check with the Wellness Center Receptionist (front desk) on room availability,

11. Responsible to maintain new intake provider grid up to date; have working knowledge of all services, providers and staff to coordinate warm handoff to assigned counselor

12. Orient consumers and families LEWC Inc. services available, assist consumers and families and clinical staff with transferring between providers as needed when transitioning o different levels of care

13. Responsible for keeping records of internal referrals and transfers document in EHR

14. Verification of insurance for consumers and families obtaining insurance authorizations

15. Perform clerical duties as needed and assigned related to LEWC Inc. clinical Documentation, Clinical Services, Community Outreach needs assisting the clinical supervisor and Clinical Director

16 Educate consumers, families, community referral sources, stakeholders on EHR set-up and completion of forms and HIPAA-compliant communication in accessing communication agency EHR.

17. Provides community presentations and support as community liaison promoting services provided by LEWC under the direction of the Clinical Director

18. Work with Individuals, Groups, and communities providing direct service to improve mental health and wellness

19. Help Individuals, Families define goals, plan of action, gain insight and develop therapeutic process providing individual therapy and group therapy

20. Other Duties may be assigned as needed based on agency need.
