Assistant Teacher
The Learning Center (TLC) is a ministry of Living Word Lutheran Church, and a well-respected Christian preschool located in the Cinco Ranch area of Katy, Texas. TLC is dedicated to providing quality childcare along with hands-on activity-based learning experiences. We are ready to grow our team and are looking for qualified, dependable Assistant Teachers. As a TLC teacher, you will help create a loving and accepting environment while implementing both academic and Christian educational programs designed to nurture the growth of the whole child. The ideal applicant must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, energetic, and able to keep up with the demands of a fast-paced work environment.

Basic Applicant Requirements Include:
High School diploma or GED
Current CPR/First Aid or the ability to obtain
Caring and nurturing attitude with children
The ability to connect with young children and effectively teach Christianity and academics
The ability to provide a positive and nurturing environment for the children
The ability to communicate professionally with parents and co-workers
The ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and co-workers
Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work behavior
Observe all rules and regulations of The Learning Center and local, state, and national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health and safety of children
Work Environment:
Must be able to stand up to 90% of the day
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
Must be able to stoop, bend, and sit on a child's level and participate in on-the-floor activities
Ability to mentally and physically interact with and react to children and be immediately responsive to their needs
Must have the energy level required to do the job
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 9:00 am-6:00 pm
