POSITION OVERVIEW:

Overview:

  • Essential functions: Client consultations (i.e., applying the skills of listening, information seeking, relationship building), and Business Development.
  • Collaborate with all prospective customers with the objective of meeting their painting needs and building customers for life.
  • Work effectively in a team environment that supports open communication and accountability in order to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Introduce CertaPro Painters of Springfield (an independently owned and operated CertaPro Painters franchisee) to prospective customers to differentiate it from the competition and to further enhance our “Brand of Certainty.”
  • Initiate, develop and grow commercial and residential painting relationships.
  • Maintain open appointment availability for potential customers and to achieving goals.
  • Build customer relationships by focusing on implementing CertaPro Painters proven processes and communication strategies.
  • Provide on-site and remote one-on-one customer consultations.
  • Ensure that our customers’ needs, and their expectations are clearly communicated and accurately documented in a detailed written proposal for all requests.
  • Update current activities in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
  • Participation in Regional or National On-Going Training Conferences/Meetings.
  • Develop a close working relationship with Job Site Supervisors to ensure all expectations set forth on the written proposal are met.

COMPENSATION:

  • Base salary (depending on experience) plus commission with expectations of $70,000+ first year.  Second year expectations are $90,000+
  • Company provides vehicle, cell phone, computer, and other business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of outside sales experience with commercial sales desired
  • Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Goal oriented, organized, and energetic
  • Project, time management, and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Working knowledge of interior and exterior paints coatings, carpentry, drywall, EIFS, DRYVIT and other construction
  • Business to business sales and marketing experience
  • College degree
  • Comfortable with business technology

MARKETING:

  • Identify prospects in target market segments.
  • Initiate contact and build relationships through individual contacts, business intelligence and relevant trade associations.

SALES:

  • Through prospecting, develop new customer relationships
  • Win sales commitments with new customers in a competitive market
  • Grow revenue from existing accounts and relationships

ESTIMATING:

  • Meet with customers, in person, whenever possible to perform estimates and gather information about the needs pertaining to the execution of the project.
  • Create a detailed and grammatically accurate written proposal which accurately, specifically, and clearly defines both the needs of the customer and the expectations set forth during conversations between the customer and yourself.
  • Take pictures of the project and difficult production situations and/or customer service concerns during the estimate and insert them into proposal.
  • Responsible for approving change orders for jobs in progress.
  • Participate in all company sponsored shows and events.

PRODUCTION:

  • Upon landing the job, communicate clearly with the production staff the most up to date scope of work and the needs of the customer.
  • Assist in assigning the most appropriate crew to jobs based on their past performance, preferences, and abilities.
  • Assist in the management of the Production Schedule
  • Ensure all landed jobs are “handed off” to the Job Site Supervisor in person and the Certainty Pledge is reviewed.
  • Ensures that the Job Site Supervisor (JSS) is clear on the scope of the job.
  • Customer needs/expectations are reviewed.
  • Safety and Set Up issues are reviewed.
  • Establishes a tentative Finish Date for the job.
  • Ensure that crews are producing jobs at or above Projected Gross Margin.
  • Facilitate the resolution of Customer Complaints in a timely manner.

ADMINISTRATIVE:

  • Prepares Weekly Analysis of Results in preparation for Goal Setting & Review with Supervisor.
  • Update job profiles and proposals daily in CertaOne and replicate database daily.
