Peerless Midwest, Inc., a regional full-service water supply contractor with headquarters in Mishawaka, Indiana, provides hydrogeologic, drilling, well and pump, and system design/control services to public water supply, industrial, and agricultural clients located throughout the Midwest. We are looking for a SCADA / I & C technician to join our Mishawaka Indiana field office. In this role, you will work with our team of technicians, project managers, and field staff to troubleshoot existing utility electrical control problems, design and build new SCADA systems including specifying components, drawing schematics, building control panels, programming PLCs and both hardware and software based operator interface devices. What you will experience in this role: • Design and build industrial control panels. • Install and commission variable frequency drives. • Troubleshooting undocumented, antiquated systems. • Installation and wiring of control panels. • Programming and troubleshooting irrigation systems, and municipal water supply control systems. • Direct interaction with customers. • Travel, this position requires travel including some overnight, out of town work. • This is a service position and candidate must understand that maintaining the integrity of a public water supply is a high priority and be willing to respond accordingly when required. What you will bring to this role: • Integrity – someone that both PMI and our customers can trust to do the right thing. • Ability to program Allen Bradley programmable controllers. MicroLogix and CompactLogix family • Ability to program operator interface screens. • Familiarity with FactoryTalk View, Wonderware, VTScada preferred. • Strong networking and IT security skills. • Understand electrical schematics and how to troubleshoot. • Knowledge of AutoCad beneficial. • Ability to work safely around electrical systems. • Understanding of process and instrumentation diagrams. • Valid driver’s license (chauffeurs license preferred) with a good driving record • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team • The ability to manage time, meet deadlines and budgets, and prioritize projects • Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of site environments • Strong process logic skills • Strong commitment to safety Our commitment to you In addition to a competitive salary, PMI provides attractive career options including professional development via continuing education courses, paid vacation, bonus program, and use of a company vehicle.
