Movement Coach
Altitude Ninja is Southern Colorado’s premier obstacle-based training gym. Our staff must fit our personality. Altitude Ninja is a place where grit and perseverance inspire personal development and where you can expect to be held accountable for your best.
Our staff are motivated people who support and train the next generation of Ninja Warrior athletes, Parkour enthusiasts, and OCR competitors. Specifically, we are energetic, outgoing, and athletic individuals with a sincere passion not only for these movement sports, but also for coaching and fitness. Our Coaches teach movement skills (swinging, climbing, jumping, etc.) and assist athletes with overcoming fitness and obstacle challenges (warped wall, cargo net, rope climbs, ring toss, obstacle courses, zip line, etc.).
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Movement Coaches work to ensure a safe and fun environment for our athletes through instruction and group facilitation under the supervision of the Altitude Ninja Managers. This is a very active position involving high energy, hard work, and passion. It's also very rewarding to help children and adults of all ages develop physically, cognitively, and emotionally as they build confidence and self-esteem.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include coaching youth, teen and adult movemnet (Ninja, Parkour &/or OCR) classes and working open gym as well as special events. Additional responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
--SMILE! Have fun and help make sure all of our guests are having fun!
--Work with Altitude Ninja Managers to establish a positive and supportive obstacle-based training culture and community at the facility. This is critical!
--Represent Altitude Ninja by maintaining a professional attitude in keeping with our philosophies.
--Enforce all Altitude Ninja policies.
--Maintain safety while creating a fun fitness/training environment.
--Interact with parents, families & athletes of all ages.
--Instruct and support safe techniques with obstacles and obstacle courses.
--Cleaning tasks as necessary.
--Obstacle/course maintenance tasks, including safety checks of equipment.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
--Background and/or training in Parkour, Obstacle Course Racing (OCR), Ninja Warrior obstacle competitions, gymnastics, and/or climbing - a must!
--Coaching experience in a small group environment
--Passionate about working with and coaching kids, teens, and adults and willing to be a fun and positive role model
--Able to lift and spot children ages 3-15 years old
--Ability to think on your feet, analyze body mechanics, and problem solve
--Education in fitness, exercise science, physical education, or a related field, preferred
--Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and/or other training certifications i.e. certified personal trainer, certified group trainer, preferred
--High school Diploma or equivalent, required

ESTIMATED WEEKLY HOURS: 12+ hours. | Ninja classes run Monday – Saturday.
JOB TYPE: Part-time (full-time option possible for the right candidate)
SALARY: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour
