IT Help Desk Technician
• Serving as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email on Microsoft Windows and 365 product lines.
• Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
• Determining the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
Job brief
We are looking for a competent Help desk technician to perform remote desktop support on Microsoft Windows and 365 Product Lines. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. We are looking for an individual who is a problem-solver and has a proven track record of working within a team environment to successfully address challenging user computing issues, and is accustomed to perpetually developing their technical skill set.
An excellent Help desk technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult customers.
The goal is to create value for clients that will help preserve the company’s reputation and business.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
• Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
• Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
• Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
• Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
• Provide accurate information on IT products or services
• Record events and problems and their resolution in logs
• Follow-up and update customer status and information
• Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
• Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures
Requirements and skills
• Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role with 3 years minimum in role time.
• Windows 7/8/10 proficiency
• Windows remote desktop (RDP) Configuring
• Printing / Scanner and peripheral support
• Basic Network Troubleshooting.
• Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases and remote control
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and 365 product lines. mobile devices and other tech products with at least 3 years of working experience.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues pertaining to the Microsoft Windows and 365 product lines.
• Proficiency in English
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
This position is full-time salaried, plus benefits including health, dental, One-week paid vacation after one year. We also offer education and certification reimbursement.
