Dance Teacher
Kinderdance Austin is looking for someone with a big personality to join the team!
We have some new preschools wanting to come online, and we need someone to teach them before we say yes. You would be teaching beginning dance, gymnastics, and yoga to young children. There is a syllabus so you will have a guide to help with daily class activities.
What Kinderdance Austin is looking for:
• Dance training and experience teaching young children (ages 2-5).
• Love being around this age and have the ability to re-direct their sometimes squirrel-like behaviors.
• Love to get random hugs during class, and be okay if a little one likes the texture of your leggings and proceeds to pet you like a cat.
• Training (paid) will be through our online portal (1 week) and in person (1 week) during the course of classes.
• This is a mobile job. You will be traveling to preschool locations in areas that you agree will work best for you.
• Pass a background check and FBI fingerprinting check (as per Preschool Center requirements).
• Excellent communicator.
• You must be reliable!
Flexible Schedule:
• The schedule could be mornings M - F starting at 9 am until the latest Noon and/or M, W, and Thursday afternoons starting at 230 until the latest 430. You choose what will work best for you.
o This is a great complementary position to almost any schedule already in place, and we are happy to work with you.
Pay
• You would receive a flat $200 for training (this includes your work on the online portal and shadowing class). Once you start teaching on your own, you will be compensated at your hourly rate of $19-$21, to be determined when you are hired.
