Chemical Analysis Technician

Major Responsibilities/Duties:

The Analytical Services Laboratory at Constellation Technology is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for chemical and mechanical testing and, therefore, is compliant with ISO 17025, the International Standard for Testing Laboratories. The Chemical Technician will conduct chemical and mechanical analyses on many types of materials in order to meet the objectives requested by the customer. These analyses can involve items such as incoming material inspection, material certification and product reverse engineering using techniques such as FTIR, ICP-OES, GC-MS, SEM-EDS etc. and more classical analyses. The duties will generally by performed under the supervision of a more senior member of the staff.

Education/Experience:

Post high school education in chemistry or physics such as that demonstrated by an AA or BS in science/chemistry from a college or junior college or other relevant scientific discipline, or 2+ years of practical experience.

Salary: $40,000
