CNC Machinist Intern Position Summary The CNC Machinist Intern operates CNC machines to support the manufacture of components and devices for the industry while attending schooling in a related accredited program CNC Machinist Intern Duties and Responsibilities • Operate CNC Mill, EDM, Lathe, and/or Swiss machines • Learn to perform quality inspection on completed parts • Learn to perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines to ensure consistent machine performance • Learn to setup tools CNC Machinist Intern Position Requirements • Operator experience with CNC Mill, and Lathe • Ability to do arithmetic, preferable in machine math/shop math • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (learn GD&T) • Ability to read and interpret blueprints • Learn to read measurement equipment such as micrometer, caliper, pressure micrometer CNC Machinist Intern Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Interest in a career relate to machining
