Staff Auditor
CPA firm specializing in 401(k) audits headquartered in Sacramento, CA is hiring Staff Auditors. The staff auditors will plan and execute risk-based employee benefit plan audits for our clientele. Reporting to the Audit Manager and Quality Control Manager, the Staff Auditors will complete audits from planning through to completion.

· Plan financial audits by understanding audit objectives, plan structures, relevant policies and processes, internal controls, and external regulations; identifying risk areas; preparing audit scope and objectives; preparing audit programs
· Assess compliance with various regulations and audit requirements by executing audit program steps; testing general ledger, account balances, balance sheets, income statements, and related financial statements; examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation
· Complete audit work papers and memoranda by documenting audit tests and findings
· Communicate audit progress and findings by providing information in status meetings; highlighting unresolved issues; reviewing working papers; preparing final audit reports
· Contribute to team results by welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to add value to the organization; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
Minimum 1 year of auditng experience preferred
Strong attention to details, written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to multitask, be flexible and work well under high pressure and multiple deadlines
Excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
Must be fluent in computer technology (Microsoft Office, Project Management Software, Cloud-based software, Advanceflow, etc.)
Ability to work full-time with some long hours required
