Nanny
A loving family made up of two business owners (dad is American and mom is Serbian) with one 4.5-year-old warm, quality, outgoing & intelligent little girl is looking to hire a nanny who has stellar references & previous job tenure, to join their household! They are looking for a career nanny who is an honest & genuine person and who has the level of patience required to successfully care for a child, especially one who is super smart & able to partake in meaningful conversations and activities, and who is both open-minded and opinionated.
Their daughter does not currently attend preschool, but she is enrolled in numerous activities, such as: Art, Martial Arts, at-home English tutoring, frequenting the Museum on Nature & Science, Children's Museum, and various parks as weather allows. You will be responsible for all childcare-related duties, including cooking, and helping with homework; Running errands is limited to opening the driveway gate for the grocery delivery vehicle, unpacking, sanitizing, and placing groceries in the fridge and pantry. They have two Pomeranians, so must be OK with light care for them (no walking, feeding, brushing, driving, etc.). You will be responsible for light cleaning limited to kitchen, living and the kid's bedroom - areas where the child spends time and where her play area and bed are located. Must have your own car for transporting the child and running errands, gas + mileage reimbursement provided.
They are looking for someone who is a great communicator, thoughtful in their approach, and who understands the importance of proper nutrition in children and is able to translate this into practice every day. They are looking for someone who understands what it takes to keep the child clean and continually teaches the child about this topic. Must also have sufficient experience and sound judgment.
The schedule is as follows: MW 9 AM- 3 PM; Tues Thurs 11 AM - 8 PM, Fridays 12 PM -7 PM. Saturdays would be ideal 12 PM -5 PM, but not required. They could use the nanny's help when traveling, but this is not required or expected. Passport is a plus.
Ultimately, a lot of their life is focused on health so they are looking for a nanny who is health conscious (food, physical activity, healthy thought process, etc.). Ideally, this person is be fully vaccinated, and willing to get annual flu & covid shots, but not necessarily required. Pay is commensurate with experience $28-34/hr gross via payroll + PTO and a portion of relocation assistance. This is a live-out position, so you will be responsible for finding your own accommodations but are willing to help navigate the process.
They are looking for at least a minimum of a year commitment, but there is an option to work within the family as needed if you were interested in staying on longer. Overall, they are pretty traditional but are not over-bearing by any means. They want you to have full autonomy but also strive for you to be fully comfortable communicating with them and being as collaborative as necessary for the best interest of their daughter!
