Teacher
This is a great opportunity to become part of a growing Spanish immersion family and advance your career. We are looking for an experienced teacher to enhance our garden/nature program for our 4 and 5 year old classrooms and develop the natural curiosity of our 2's and 3's. Our philosophy is play based with an emergent curriculum that is developed based on the questions and interests of the children. We are a process based art and science school and spend most days outdoors, you must love nature and being outdoors! This position is to work with our Pre-Kinder and Kinder programs to develop and implement a garden and nature curriculum AND help maintain our garden and orchard. Projects and curriculum development include starting a worm farm for composting, creating a green team for composting and recycling at school, designing and building a bean teepee with the children and leading the planting and harvesting of fruits and vegetables in our garden and any other fantastic idea. We work hard and have fun and are looking for a teacher with a positive mindset, lots of energy and a strong desire to be a better teacher and human! Must have a US work permit.

Sing songs and play games.
Utilize (truly enjoy) the outdoor classrooms and garden for discovery and learning.
Prepare garden as a classroom each day to maintain interest of children and encourage them to explore and discover.
Develop curriculum and activities that are inquiry and play based. Emphasis is science, math and art.
Create and maintain a safe and caring learning environment implementing positive mindset practices.
Communicate with parents on a daily basis.
Cleaning duties within the garden and "farm" space.
