Basic Purpose:
This internship position involves providing critical marketing support and other business development related administrative duties to our Marketing and Sales Team. This is a business development position, and most responsibilities are geared toward finding new prospective clients by way of researching, capturing and managing client data in our marketing automation platform as well as directing clients through our marketing campaigns by targeting proper services for their profiles, scheduling appointments, overcoming objections, and recording the critical data produced from these efforts.
Learning how to determine client needs and pain points is an essential function of success for any marketing position, and we will consistently train and educate you on how to conquer this skillset. The information you research and collect will be directly used to adjust our marketing content and messaging to offer a more attractive value proposition. You will work closely with others to drive the campaigns, programs, displays, shows and events that engage the Partners, Prospects and Clients of Leapfrog Technology Group to meet their business goals.

Essential Functions -
BUSINESS Development:
- Become familiar with Leapfrog’s service offerings
- Assist with implementing marketing plans and projects for new and existing products
- Assist in the development of social media marketing and campaigns
- Using various graphic development software, assist with designing marketing content for all media channels
- Generate leads through canvassing, marketing campaigns, LinkedIn, referrals, attending marketing/networking events and revisiting old leads
- Prospect database development
- Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
- Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future services
- Segment, target, and position markets to determine the most viable
- Research new service offerings to maintain an informed perspective of capabilities
- Research new sources for marketing, lead generation and list development
- Assist in the development and preparation of marketing materials
- Interface with clients via targeted follow up calls to specific marketing efforts (invitations, mailing/gifts sent)
- Work and support the Sales Team with daily leads, opportunities, and proposals
- Assist with creating and circulating customer success stories and testimonials
SALES Development:
- Initiate sales calls to prospective clients or leads
- Arrange meetings with decision makers such as CTOs, CEOs, or Marketing Directors for our Account Director
- Assist in producing proposals or quotes for clients/prospects
- Assist in production of presentations for prospect meetings
- Conduct follow up calls and relay findings / action items to management
Knowledge & Skills Desired:
- Build professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and assigned training resources.
- Be available for planning meetings, training, and team building events as requested.
- Maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance in accordance with the minimum requirements established by state law
- Manage brand integrity throughout company, particularly ensuring integrated marketing communication across all mediums
- Supporting and facilitating development and execution of marketing plans
- Developing promotional materials, which include marketing print and collateral copies
- Assisting in strategic plans for client demonstrations, presentations, displays, etc.

EDUCATION & Experience
- Some college or other technical school education
- Some experience with developing and maintaining marketing strategies
- Experience with MS Office, Adobe products, social media platforms
- Proven experience in customer and market research
