Williamsburg Montessori School is looking for a part time afterschool assistant for the 2025-2026 Summer Camp. The job begins June 15, 2026 and ends July 31, 2026. The Assistant will: Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the WMS After-School Program for children, ages 6-12. Work the hours of 2:45-5:30 pm, Monday through Friday Assist in giving lessons and providing activities developed by the Director Assist in developing crafts and activities Supervise children in the classroom and on the playground Circulate the playground to ensure safety of all children Work collaboratively with the other members of the After-School Program Use language and implement programs consistent with Montessori philosophy Positive language and re-direction Child-centered Quiet voices Encourage independence Observe VA Licensing Standards Maintain appropriate communication with parents Maintain appropriate communication with After-School Director and administration Must be able to be outside in various types of weather, comfortable sitting on the floor and in small size chairs and standing for periods of time.
