Compensation: $15 - $22.50/hr DOE plus installation bonuses

Field Operations Technician to install Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH)

QXC Communications, Inc (www.qxc.us) is hiring Field Operations Telecom Technicians with 1+ years of work experience to support our Commercial and Residential customer onboarding.
Primary Duties:
· New installations and Service Calls of QXC services at customer sites with strict attention to safety, high-level of workmanship, and tidiness (“Leave every worksite cleaner than you found it”).
· Pull fiber from the MDF (Main Demarc Frame) to each home/condo.
· Use hand tools (drills, crimpers, cutters, splicers, caulking gun, wire-loom, etc.) to neatly and professionally install fiber in a home.
· Install and verify CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) including Router, WiFi Access Point, and TV equipment (FireTV sticks, Set Top Boxes) neatly and professionally.
· Conduct customer education regarding QXC-WiFi and QXC-TV
· Properly complete and submit Work Orders, including customer signature upon completion.
· Responsibly use and care for Company supplied tools, inventory, equipment, supplies, and vehicles.
· Functional laptop/tablet (Windows or Apple) and mobile (Android or Apple) devices are a must.
. Ability to travel away from home during the workweek ... QXC sells Bulk Contracts throughout the state so you may need to go where the work is. QXC pays for transportation and housing.

· Support overall QXC initiatives and assist coworkers to achieve their goals for the greater good of QXC overall.
· This is an individual contributor, not a team lead, supervisor, or foreman type role.
· Employee is expected to be able to self-manage – show up on time, plan ahead, execute efficiently and communicate effectively (English is a must, Spanish is helpful) with QXC staff to facilitate information flow in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
· Role requires the Employee to work from a company-provided vehicle during business hours unless otherwise permissioned to use your own vehicle.
· Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle to commute with. Must be over 21 to drive company trucks.
· Professional interpersonal and customer-facing skills
· Able to multi-task
· Perform such other duties as may be requested from time to time by your immediate Manager or QXC senior management
· This role reports to: Field Operations Manager
Plus (not required but considered great to have):
• Prior experience as an Installer with Comcast, AT&T, WISP, Structured Wiring (Cat5/6, Fiber), Satellite TV, Alarm Systems, Home Automation, etc
• Network training/certifications (achieved or working towards) CCNA, MTCNA, A+, etc
• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and/or Google Sheets, Slides & Docs
• Your own telecom tools including snips, wire strippers, cordless drills, Screw Drivers, safety gear, etc.
• College students are great, we can work around most schedules
• Full time, Part time, Temp / Event / Project - we can use it all
• Ability / flexibility to work late shift (12-8 PM) and/or weekends is plus
