The Torit Montessori School in Boston, Mass., seeks a part time afternoon assistant teacher. We are seeking an assistant teacher with a passion for working with young children in our community. Ideal for a student or morning paraprofessional. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with lead teachers and classroom assistants, communicate confidently with parents, both verbally and in writing, and have strong organizational skills that allow for the structure and routine young children need. The candidate will offer flexible thinking, curiosity, and creativity as part of a larger teaching team that strategizes and explores the implementation of core Montessori principles.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a prepared Montessori environment in which the furnishings and materials are developmentally appropriate and welcoming to children.
- Deliver established Montessori scope and sequence
- Making Materials
- Ensure safety and well-being of students in the classroom
- Work cooperatively with co teacher or assistant
- Work with a mentor teacher
