Environmental Lab Technician

Chemtech is an environmental laboratory that analyzes soil, air, and water for contamination. We are the leading environmental laboratory located in Mountainside, NJ.

Chemtech is rapidly expanding and is looking for an Entry Level Environmental Laboratory Technician to join our team effective immediately! Experience is not necessary and training is provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Calculate, interpret, record, file and transmit test results
Record, prepare, track, and release samples throughout the lab inspection process
Maintain the sample retaining the system, including storage, disposal, retrieval and record keeping
Perform Quality Assurance activities to verify the capability of equipment and methods
Perform routine calibration and adjustments of laboratory instruments
Perform Test Method reviews to ensure compliance
Ensure accurate records are kept and maintained of all specifications and test results
Keep laboratory equipment maintained and operating efficiency and safely according to all health and safety standards
Perform Quality Assurance activities to verify the capability of equipment and methods
Following all SOPs
Qualifications:

Good statistical and numerical ability
Excellent attention to detail
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Maintaining a clean and neat work space
Strong work ethic
Self-motivated and dependable
Ability to work as part of a team
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
