Full-time Lead Landscaper

Pay: $22.00 per hour (based on experience)

About the Position

We are seeking a hardworking, reliable Lead Landscaper to help maintain the appearance, safety, and overall quality of our farm grounds. This position involves physically demanding outdoor work performed year-round in Florida weather conditions.

Our farm welcomes thousands of guests each year, and the appearance of our property plays a critical role in their experience. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, attractive, and professional environment.

This is not a desk job. You will spend your days outdoors in the Florida sun, heat, and humidity while performing physically demanding tasks that help keep our farm looking its best.

Essential Responsibilities

• Commercial mowing and turf maintenance
• String trimming (weed eating) and edging
• Hedge, shrub, and ornamental plant trimming
• Weed control in landscape beds and public areas
• Mulch installation and replenishment
• Fertilizer application
• Herbicide application
• General grounds maintenance and property cleanup
• Maintaining landscaping around guest areas, event venues, parking lots, farm attractions, and public-facing facilities
• Safely operating and maintaining landscape equipment and tools
• Assisting with general farm maintenance projects as needed

Qualifications

Required

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying Florida weather conditions
• Ability to regularly lift and carry 50+ pounds
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred

• Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, agriculture, farming, or outdoor labor
• Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment
• Knowledge of fertilizer and herbicide applications
• Florida Pesticide Applicator License (preferred but not required)

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: $18.00$22.00 per hour, based on experience
