Full-time Lead Landscaper
Pay: $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
About the Position
We are seeking a hardworking, reliable Lead Landscaper to help maintain the appearance, safety, and overall quality of our farm grounds. This position involves physically demanding outdoor work performed year-round in Florida weather conditions.
Our farm welcomes thousands of guests each year, and the appearance of our property plays a critical role in their experience. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, attractive, and professional environment.
This is not a desk job. You will spend your days outdoors in the Florida sun, heat, and humidity while performing physically demanding tasks that help keep our farm looking its best.
Essential Responsibilities
- Commercial mowing and turf maintenance
- String trimming (weed eating) and edging
- Hedge, shrub, and ornamental plant trimming
- Weed control in landscape beds and public areas
- Mulch installation and replenishment
- Fertilizer application
- Herbicide application
- General grounds maintenance and property cleanup
- Maintaining landscaping around guest areas, event venues, parking lots, farm attractions, and public-facing facilities
- Safely operating and maintaining landscape equipment and tools
- Assisting with general farm maintenance projects as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying Florida weather conditions
- Ability to regularly lift and carry 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Preferred
- Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, agriculture, farming, or outdoor labor
- Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment
- Knowledge of fertilizer and herbicide applications
- Florida Pesticide Applicator License (preferred but not required)

Compensation & Benefits
