Every shift at Dexter’s Plant 12 in Fremont, Indiana, you’ll set the pace for a high‑performing manufacturing operation that powers the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets. As our Plant Superintendent, you will orchestrate people, processes, and technology—from state-of-the-art robotics and precision welding to automated machining—to deliver superior quality and 100% on-time performance. A Day in This Role

You’ll start by aligning Production Supervisors on safety and the day’s KPIs, walk the floor to remove roadblocks, and lead standard meetings that surface abnormalities. You’ll coach teams to apply root-cause thinking, adjust schedules to meet customer commitments, and ensure DOS (Dexter Operating System) practices are embedded in how we work. By day’s end, you’ll confirm labor performance targets, validate quality checks, and lock in 100% on-time delivery.

What You’ll Own
  • Direct, mentor, and develop Production Supervisors to build a high-accountability, high-engagement culture.
  • Champion plant safety, health, and environmental programs; maintain a safe, compliant workplace.
  • Deploy the Dexter Operating System (DOS) and drive continuous improvement behaviors.
  • Run standard KPI meetings; identify abnormalities; lead root-cause problem solving to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage production schedules to achieve 100% customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
  • Meet labor performance objectives while managing direct and indirect labor budgets.
  • Ensure quality procedures are followed without exception.
  • Undertake special projects and other assignments as needed.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Proven Lean/continuous improvement experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership in a similarly sized manufacturing site.
  • Hands-on expertise across manufacturing operations and production scheduling, including labor budget control.
  • Team-first mindset; goal-driven; self-motivated.
  • Strong computer literacy.
