Overview

A growing freight forwarding company is seeking an Operations Manager to take over day-to-day operations and serve as the right hand to the owner.

The owner is currently handling both operations and sales and is now looking to bring in someone who can run the operational side of the business independently, allowing him to focus on growth and client acquisition.

This role is critical to the next phase of the company and requires someone who understands the forwarding industry from the inside.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day freight forwarding operations
• Manage and process shipping documentation and releases
• Oversee coordination of shipments from start to finish
• Ensure compliance with industry requirements and processes
• Handle operational workflows currently managed by the owner
• Support and stabilize internal processes as the company grows

What They're Looking For

• Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations (not trucking)
• Must have experience working at a freight forwarding company
• Experience with documentation, releases, and shipment processing
• Ability to run operations independently without heavy oversight
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple moving pieces
• Comfortable stepping into a high-responsibility role early-stage company
