Responsibilities include preparing marketing plans (objectives, goals, competitive positioning, media & creative recommendations, budget and ROI indicators), supervising all aspects of account relations, creative concepting, implementation & production, and media planning & placement. Outside vendor relations and research partnerships also fall under my title.

Building relevant, consistent and integrated brands for national, regional and local entities is the foundation of my experience. Working with creative, media and production budgets ranging from HGTV ($18m each year), Alabama Tourism ($9 m), ZEROMETH ($3m), Cellnet ($1m), down to local pro bono projects for; The City of Tuscaloosa, The Industrial Development Authority, West Alabama Chamber of Commerce, Tuscaloosa Public Library, YMCA and the DCH Foundation, have afforded me the opportunity to explore many strategies.

Specific brand accomplishments under my supervision include; HGTV becoming the fastest growing network in cable history to hit US household penetration, the introduction/launch of the DIY TV network, and creating the ZEROMETH drug prevention campaign - which won the National silver ADDY and National gold ACE award for PSA’s (while creating over 85% target demo name recognition).

Most significantly managed an $18 million budget for HGTV for 8 years. Took the network from 11 to 88 million US TV households (at the time, the fastest network to reach cable saturation). Created and executed national consumer, advertiser and cable industry campaigns. Created and implemented 4 national on-air sweepstakes each year, resulting in the largest consumer entry response in cable TV history.
