04/2009 ECE Practicum
• Volunteered 44 hours at Green River community College child development center. I would play with the children. The children played with blocks, puzzles, and the sensory table. I let the children experience different textures of sand. I did art projects with the children. I presented a literacy, math, and sensory lesson to the children. I would observe how the teacher and other college students were with the children.
01/ 2004 Babysitter
• I worked as a babysitter for a local single mother. The mother was a neighbor. I took care of a ten year girl. I would play with the girl. She liked to play games and read. I took her on walks and would watch her while she was at Girl Scout meetings. I prepared and served her lunch and dinner.
06/2010 Children’s Home Society
• I volunteered for Children’s Home Society at Highline Community College. I volunteer 9 hours a week. I help the Teacher’s with the children. I help out in the toddler and infant rooms. I help serve and prepare meals. With the toddlers I model table manners. I feed the infants and clean up when they are done feeding. I put the infants in a rocker and rock them to sleep when its time for their nap. I play with the children and talk to them. I read to the children. I Help the teacher get the children ready to go out side. I put coats on the children. I watch the children outside while playing with them so they are safe. While the children are sleeping I clean up the toys.
04/2011 Angle Lake Child Development Center.
I volunteered for two months. I worked for three hours twice a week. I would help out in the Infant room. I helped the teacher’s care for the Infants. Tasks I completed were feeding, bottle feeding, rocking the infants to sleep. I also played with the infants and talked to them.
