My name is Joseph Waniewski. I am currently a Junior attending San Francisco State University where my major is Cinema. I have worked at various workplaces such as bookstores, warehouses, coffee shops, and newspaper companies. In high school, I was involved in Journalism and Yearbook. I have lots of customer service experience and I am a very athletic and good on my feet. I am very passionate in my goals and when I set my mind to something, I always see it done.

Experience

Warehouse Worker, Resco, Reno, Nevada — 2009-2010
I performed multiple tasks in this position. I priced items, helped customers, helped put together various restaurant equipment supplies, and I went on deliveries throughout Nevada and Lake Tahoe - helping people with their restaurant equipment, etc.. I also received and shipped out items in the warehouse

Waiter, Squat and Gobble, San Francisco, California — 2010
I worked briefly as a waiter at a restaurant called “The Squat and Gobble”. Unfortunately, complications arose because I was only a waiter in training and when I was done with the training, they couldn’t hire me because they had too many on staff. However, while working there, I gained a lot of customer service experience as well as other valuable, restaurant knowledge.

Cashier/Coffee House Worker, The Next Chapter, Woodland, California — 2007-2008
I worked at an independent bookstore for the duration of a year. I worked the cashier, kept inventory of the books, made cafe beverages, and helped customers. From this job, I gained a lot of customer service experience and I learned how to handle busy business hours.

Movie Reviewer, Daily Democrat Newspaper, Woodland, California — 2007-2008
Once a week, I saw a movie, and wrote a 3-4 page review of it for my town newspaper. I received a lot of recognition from other writers and peers in my town and I feel like during this job, I improved greatly as a writer and communicator

Camp Counselor, YMCA, Woodland, California - 2002
Over the summer, I worked as a camp counselor for younger children. I supervised their day-to-day activities, went on field trips, and payed games with the children. I really enjoyed working with kids and I gained some invaluable social skills from this job.

Skills
I am a very good writer and have been published many times in my town newspaper as a movie reviewer. I have a good knowledge on restaurants and the services that come with it. I also know how to make various coffee/beverage drinks. Through multiple interactions with customers in past jobs, I have acquired a sense on how to interact and engage people, so that I am constantly friendly and helpful. I am optimistic in every job that I perform and always make sure my duties are performed to the best of my capabilities.
