Liaison representing the GSSWT with the Institute for Health Promotion Research at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. This community- based participatory study focuses on childhood obesity prevention in Westside San Antonio girls.

• Responsible for supporting the implementation of two research projects focusing on obesity prevention and health promotion

Program Specialist for a collaborative grant funded by the San Antonio Sports Foundation which focused on increasing physical activity and self esteem of economically disadvantaged youth ages 5-17 years old.
