Mobile Development Software Engineer
Responsibilities
• Actively contribute to architectural & product design and development for our Mobile device applications
• Define and evangelize best-practices for Mobile Platform programming & usage
• Develop test cases and perform comprehensive testing of Mobile Development Platforms
• Work closely with Cloud Development team for integrated design and development
• Analyze mobile user experience processes to design and develop best-experience Mobile Interfaces
• Work closely with operations to maintain client Service Level Agreements
• Handle routine system administration issues related to your systems and test systems
Critical Skills:
• 5+ years' experience with developing for Windows CE 5.0/6.0 and/or Windows Mobile 5/6 operating system platforms with Visual Studio toolsets
• Expert C#, .Net Compact Framework 3.5/4.0 coding skills (Windows Embedded Development Certificate a plus)
• Embedded C++ development and coding skills
• "User Experience" interface design and development for mobile devices
• Web services interface design and development
• Demonstrate a working knowledge in the following areas:
o Knowledge of networking and security implementation and best practices
o Database Management systems including traditional relational database as well as MySQL solutions
o Image Capture processes
o Bar code processes
o Wireless 802.11 interface management
o Bluetooth Device Management and SPP protocol
o GPS NMEA protocols
o GIS Spatial Database design and structure
o Mobile Thermal Printer communication interfaces specifically Printek and Zebra
o SSL/TSL Certificate Management
• General software development release lifecycle, source code management and defect management methodologies
• Demonstrate ability to complete highly detailed tasks with strict attention to detail, quality and timeliness.
• Strong organizational and self-management skills
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
Education/Experience:
• 5+ years hands-on software development experience, with the most recent experience preferably with Windows CE mobile devices
• 4 Years College Education or equivalent work experience
