GEPIK - Gyeonggi English Program in Korea has officially selected Teach Away to assist with the hiring of English teachers for the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education. GEPIK has recently launched an internship program that will employ candidates without a university degree. As an English teacher through this program, you will be required to conduct English conversation classes at a school that you are assigned to. You will also be required to teach Korean English teachers different aspects of EFL teaching methodology or language acquisition, which entails the introduction of useful or new methods of using games or other forms of interaction to stimulate a communicative classroom learning environment.

GEPIK PROGRAM BENEFITS 

Start Dates: October 2008 End

Location: Gyeonggi Province: Ansung, Yeoju, Pocheon, Anyang, Ansan, Paju 

Student Level: Elementary-High School  

Teaching Hours: 120 hours per month  

Monthly Salary: 2.0-2.4 million won/month (approximately $1,728-$2,304) 

Housing: Free housing 

Flight: Roundtrip Airfare Provided 

Vacation: 20 paid days national holidays 

Medical Insurance:50/50 Medical Insurance Additional Benefits: Settlement pay of 300,000 KRW (depending on location), no weekend work, training, curriculum, bonus for remote placements

GEPIK INTERNSHIP BENEFITS – UNIVERSITY DEGREE NOT REQUIRED

Location: Gyeonggi Province: Rural and suburban areas surrounding Seoul 

Student Level: Elementary-High School  

Teaching Hours: 120 hours per month  

Monthly Salary: 1.6-1.8 million won/month (approximately $1,500- $1,900) 

Housing:Free housing 

Flight:Roundtrip Airfare Provided 

Vacation: 14 paid days national holidays 

Medical Insurance:50/50 Medical Insurance Additional Benefits:Settlement pay of 300,000 KRW (depending on location), no weekend work, training, curriculum, bonus for remote placements
