FIRST CALL FOR SEMI-EXPERIENCED female DANCERS TO DEVELOP NEW ARTFORM with entrepreneurial male technique artist

Hiring at 3 Levels in terms of skill level & experience

Principal gets most paid training hours

LEVEL 3 (Highest)Looking for 1 “Principal”

LEVEL 2 (Moderate) Looking for 1 “Assistant-to- Principal”

LEVEL 1 (Lowest) Looking for 1 “Premier Toe Artist”

Artist has connections with major companies such as Hubbard Street, Chicago Moving Dance Company, Windfall (Bloomington, In), and Joel Hall. Artist has 10 years contact improv experience and few years ballet and modern dance experience.

Semi-experienced female dancer wanted for aid in developing New-AGE sensual dance technique presentation for Grant Money (1 year project). Mixture of slow-moving rhythmic gymnastics technique , very close contact improvisation, magnificent color and movement imagery.

> Hourly rates dislosed during interview but are guaranteed

>Bubbly personality and serious interest and passion in the development of my technique will result in session bonuses that range from $10-$15 per session

>Must be extremely dependable and very comfortable with very close contact (very good hygeine required!!!)

> dancer age range 18-25 for this first call; wider age range expanded in 1 month.

>Must sign video release to be videotaped

>Successful interview will result in videotaped audition

>Must be willing to wear authentic hicut leotards (no tights) , one-piece hicut swimsuits , spaghetti strap, flowing dance dresses, bodysuits as authentic representations of the artform.

>Toe shoes required (a used pair wil be furnished)

>Some apparel will be furnished, but dancers must have at least 1 hicut leotard, 2 or 3 hicut one-piece swimsuits (fancy patterns appreciated) and at least 1 spandex or ribbed full length body suit.

> First interview will be at café over coffee if you are called.

>Must sign Non-Disclosure Form at interview before technique is discussed in its entirety.

>$$$ 4.5-hour Audition taping (audition will be paid at discretion of artistic director based on dancer’s skill level in audition and on resume) (Likely Near North or North side of Chicago in sanctioned dance space) (90% dancers are paid at audition)

>Must sign Video release Form at video audition

>Must sign Injury Release form at video audition

> Semi-experienced dancers who show extreme flexibilty during the audition earn bonus $15 per session

>Semi-experienced dancers who are former rhythmic gymnasts and fully demonstrate their capability during audition earn bonus $25 per session.

>NOTE: RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS AND CONTACT IMPROV EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED

> received at least 12 HOURS OF CONTACT IMPROV instruction or jam experience IS PREFERRED

> received at least 18 HOURS OF BALLET EXPERIENCE IS PREFEERRED

>received at least 36 HOURS of POINTE IS PREFERRED

>junior college and international dance students encouraged to apply

>Successful auditioned candidiates will get lifetime signatures and letters of recommendation from the master technique artist. Dance Resume Verification will be granted if semi-experienced dancer is granted a contract or hired per session (minimum 3 sessions required ).

>All audition and practicum sessions are minimum 4.5 hours with 30 min videotaped warmup and partner stretching in toe shoes.

> 3 SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES will earn semi- term contracts (3 mos or so)

>!!! Length to Earn pay structure. The more practice video sessions you have with the artist, the more you earn per hour, the longer your Dance Resume Verification Experience Hours.
