Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my posting. My name is Lauren and I'm a 19 year old URI college student. I'm looking to line up a babysitting job for the 2008-2009 school year. My current position expires at the end of the summer so I'm looking to start ASAP. I live in Cranston, Rhode Island and make the commute to the University on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am willing to travel up to 25 miles from 02920, extending into some parts of Mass. I have pretty flexible availability for the school year and it is as follows:

Sunday: Any time
Monday: Any time
Tuesday: After 4pm
Wednesday: Any time
Thursday: After 4pm
Friday: Any time
Saturday: Any time

I am a very qualified, dedicated, empathetic and loving babysitter with plenty of experience. I have a full resume available at your request. Currently I sit for two amazing families and have watched children from the ages of 2 years- 11 years. In addition to babysitting I was a camp counselor at the YMCA summer camp, I did an internship in a Kindergarten classroom, and I coordinated children's birthday parties at the YMCA as well.

While working at the YMCA I became certified in CPR and First Aid. Also, I've had a background check run on me through Sittercity and would be more than happy to forward a copy of that to you.

I have my own reliable car with a clean driving record and am more than comfortable with having children in the car with me.

I believe that having a babysitter is something children should enjoy and I pride myself in developing an open relationship with the families I work for. I believe that its the job of the sitter to work in a team with the parents to create the most positive experience possible for the children.

I've tutored in the past and have no problem with helping kids with their homework, providing reading help, etc. I'd also love to take the kids on day trips if that would be something that you'd be interested in. In the past I've taken kids to Roger Williams park and zoo, Canobie Lake, the Children's Museum, the park, the library and many many playgrounds. I also think its awesome for kids to have playdates and am more than comfortable with having an additional child over sometimes to play.

I'm also more than willing to do any housekeeping/errands for you. Imagine coming home to happy children, a spotless kitchen and a hot meal ready in the oven! I'm comfortable doing dishes, laundry, changing/making beds, vacuuming, dusting, bathrooms, grocery shopping, dry cleaning drop off/pick up and so much more! Id love to make your hectic life easier for you.
