Hi my name is Jessica,I am the oldest of 5 children so I was the automatic weekend babysitter since age eleven. I started volunteering after school at the daycare center my baby sisters attended tending to children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. In 2003 I became a nanny for a 12 week old,17 mo and 5 year old until the youngest was 3.They then recommended me to another family where I was a nanny for a 3 year old girl.As a sophmore in high school I worked as a teacher's assistant at an elementary school. I absolutely love children. I am not the type of person to sit a child in front of the television all day I like to read to them, play games, talk to them, helping with homework I believe in interacting and bonding. I can be looked at as a friend and also an authority figure.I never raise my voice, from experience children respond better when you keep a positive attitude.
