My name is Christina and I want to help make your life a little easier by helping you care for your pet(s).
What I can do:
~Pet-sit ***NO extra cost for giving medications!! Pet-sitting involves letting your pet out, playtimes, snuggling, providing food (will follow your directions) and water (will be available at all times unless otherwise noted for medical reasons), cleaning up after accidents, (vomit or stool/urine), picking up stool for the pet-sitting duration. If you like, I can use my green thumb to keep your plants alive and retrieve your mail while you are away.
***You will also receive a record care sheet of what happened and what your pet did while you were away.
~Walk dogs *** EVEN THE HYPER, BOUNCY ONES THAT ZIG-ZAG ALL OVER THE PLACE ***
~Clip nails
~Brush teeth ~ (you must supply the pet-specified toothpaste and brush. human toothpaste is poison to pets, so I will not brush their teeth with it).
~Brush fur
~Give Massages (sorry, I don't do people:] )
~Play!!! *I understand that sometimes other things can get in the way of providing adequate playtimes between you and your pet. I am skilled in playing fetch, tug-o-war, hide-and-seek, and am a fast learner for other games.
~Dog Training ***I know first hand how frustrating it can be trying to train a dog that just doesn't seem to "get it." Over 10 years of continuously training my family's dogs, neighbors' and friends' dogs, I learned to love it. Sound crazy? Yeah, maybe. But I REALLY LOVE training dogs and teaching people! It's a passion and I just can't ignore it. Believe me, I've tried. Over time the urge to teach people and help dogs become more mentally balanced just kept getting stronger. I need to do it or else I will be crazy, lol! :] So please, help me help you:)
**(if interested in this service, I will send you the tricks and commands I know more than one way to teach). I use positive reinforcement, but if I see something negative you are doing, I will let you know so we can eliminate that to help produce a positive result.
What other qualifications do I have?
Well, besides what is listed above, I am also currently in training to become a certified veterinary technician (aka C.V.T. or vet. tech.). Vet. Techs. are like nurses but for animals. So, I will be skilled in how to handle medications and medical supplies, proper restraint methods for scared animals, and bathing to name a few. I have already learned proper restraints for dogs and cats (likewise for puppies and kittens), correct ways to bathe, clip nails, brush fur and teeth, and am currently learning how to give medications through needles.
Although I will gain my primary experience through school, there will always be space to learn more and gain experience with owners - the best educators about their pets' behaviors - an education that can only be gained through them.

Since I am not comfortably familiar with any animal larger than a Great Dane, but would like experience with them, I am willing to cut costs for everything if you are willing to show me how to care for them. Price is based on the type of animal, distance, and time. I will be researching the average professional costs for services to make sure mine are lower.
