I am nearly 26 years old with a 6 month old son. I am a responsible and informed mother and teacher who loves her job! I want to keep my son at home and start my own business in daycare. I am in the process of becoming licenced which takes about 3-6 months. I am TB tested, up to date on my shots, life-scanned (criminal background), Pediatric first aid and CPR through red cross, I have 12 completed ECE units and 6 in progress. I have worked with children for almost 10 years now. I started as a teaching assistant for the horseback riding summer camp at California State University, Davis and became an instructor there and worked there for 6 years. I went to college and after completing my general education units decided to figure out what I wanted to do. Here I am with experience and still learning. I am going to try to get into the teaching credential program for elementary school. That will be at least another year. As I am in the process of attaining a licence, I can only take children from one other family. It can be as many children as that family has but I won't take more than 3 for now. After I am licenced I will attain special insurance. I am not in this for the money although as every other human being I need money too. I could pick out another profession though if I wanted to. I am not a sitter, I do not sit around and watch your children, I provide the essential developmental tools for age appropriate children to move on the the next step at their pace. I am reasonable with prices. I will price case by case. Don't get discouraged if you have a situation financially, I will work with you. Depending on what you need, I will work with schedules, I will take any age up to 12 years of age until I am licenced.
