Abigale Wynne O’Brien
I am a 22 year-old psychology student at Metropolitan State College of Denver, but I am currently taking this semester off to take a breather from an intense past 4 years of schooling. My future career plans are to one day work in public relations and event management/coordinaion. I would consider myself a very disciplined and timely person, and I am extremely good at multi-tasking and balancing many responsibilities at once. It is something that I have to do on a daily basis with balancing all of my classes and homework with my other responsibilities. I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, reading magazines and going to basketball games. I have had much experience in retail, office administrative work and in restaurant/hospitality, but I am always looking to expand my experience and learn new things! I am a very team-oriented person but I find myself to be a leader most of the time. I work extremely well with others and I enjoy it very much. I achieve to be the best I can be at what I do and have always been a strong team member. I’ve always been complimented by past managers/co-workers on my strong ability to achieve my goals, my ability to get a long well with others, provide excellent customer service, and my ability to stay focused and disciplined.
Past Work Experience:
Starbucks, Park Meadows Mall
8405 Park Meadows Center Drive
Lone Tree, CO. 80124
Barista
May 2006-August 2006
General Manager: Mel Goodrich
Job Duties: My job duties at Starbucks were to provide my customers with the best possible experience when they were visiting our store by providing them with fresh, delicious coffee, extensive knowledge about Starbucks as a company as well as the different coffees we offered, providing a warm and friendly environment with great customer service. I was also required to change the carafes as well as clean and stock the store. I also kept a till and worked on the bar as well. The Park Meadows location was one of the busiest Starbucks I’ve seen to date, we were always hustling and it gave me a great opportunity to master my skills in customer service as well as on the bar.
Starting/Ending Pay: $7.50 per/hr. plus tips.
Reason for Leaving: I had to abruptly move back to Chicago unexpectedly for a family issue.
Lucky Brand Jeans
7301 S. Santa Fe Drive
Littleton, CO. 80120
720.283.9223
Sales Associate
July 2007-January 2008
General Manager: Jackie Eels
Job Duties: My job duties at Lucky Brand Jeans were to provide my customers with a knowledgeable background of our product, answering any questions or attending to any concerns they may have, folding and sizing product, creating displays, answering the telephones, executing transactions on the register, placing online and over the phone orders, inventory, receiving and processing shipment, and assisting in normal opening/closing duties.
Starting/Ending Pay: $8.25 per/hr.
Reason for Leaving: I was not looking to work over 35 hours a week because of my school schedule, and consistently asked them to reduce my hours below 35 and they were not. I told them I could not work there any longer if they did not reduce my hours a few times but eventually I had to resign my position there because my hours were not reduced. I did put in an availability change as well and still nothing.
Coach, Inc.
8405 Park Meadows Center Drive
Lone Tree, CO. 80124
303.792.0600
February 2008-July 2009
Sales Associate
General Manager: Cathy Becker
Job Duties: My job duties at Coach were to provide my customers with the best possible shopping experience that could be provided. I would greet them from the moment they came in and I would knowledgably answer any questions or attend to any concerns they had. I was there to serve the customer to their full satisfaction. I also had to answer telephones, placing online and over the phone orders, inventory and stock counting, gift-wrapping, and performing normal opening/closing duties.
Starting/Ending Pay: $9.00 per/hr.
Reason for Leaving: I was not receiving enough hours, only about one shift a week, and I could not make a living off of that.
Ruby Tuesday
35 W. Springer Drive
Highlands Ranch, CO. 80126
303.470.7066
June 2008-November 2008
Server
General Manager: Dena O’Brien
Job Duties: My job duties at Ruby Tuesdays were to provide my guests with an excellent dining experience from the moment I greeted them at the table to the moment they left. This included taking their orders correctly and promptly, delivering their food promptly, correctly and fresh, pre-bussing, refilling drinks and presenting them with their check all with a big smile and great customer service skills. I also performed side work, cleaning, making change, ringing in orders in the system, executing transactions on the register and counting tips.
Starting/Ending Pay: $4.26 per/hr plus tips.
Reason for Leaving: I left Ruby Tuesdays because I moved downtown to be closer to school and I had to commute to Highlands Ranch every weekend for work and I was not making enough money to compensate the time spent going to and from work.

May 2009-July 2009
Community Assistant
General Manager: Katie Buchanan
Job Duties: My job duties at The Inn were to provide the residents with a trusting, honest, caring community assistant who they could go to with questions, comments and concerns. I worked the front desk doing office administrative work (answering phones, creating leases, sending out leases via fax, mail or email, creating and updating resident files, and writing work orders). I was also on-call a few nights a week where I would keep the on-call phone on me and help solve resident problems such as lockouts, noise complaints or other issues that came up. I would patrol the halls as well to make sure everything was safe and residents were not being too loud.
Starting/Ending Pay: Rent addendum plus a stipend of approximately $67.00 every two weeks.
Reason for Leaving: I needed to focus on school and I needed a job that I only had to work weekends because of my busy school schedule during the week.
