PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

June 2011- December 2012
Day Care Preschool and Kindergarten teacher.

Placed in two different classrooms working with children 3-6 years old. I taught preschool and Kindergarten. This job included teaching math, social and emotional development, incorporating physical activities, spelling and reading workshops, teaching daily lessons, parent teacher conferences, working with infant/toddler and 1st grade students and on occasion provided one on one tutoring sessions.

March 2010-2011 Teachers aid at Cortiva Institute of Chicago IL 17 North State St. Chicago IL, 60611

Assisted blind students at Cortiva with different massage therapy classes including; sports massage, myofascial techniques, basic anatomy and physiology classes. Instructed and worked with these students for 2 quarters, and within this time they were all able to perform a one hour basic swedish massage on their own, without assistance.


Aug 09-Dec 09: Student Teacher Ogden Elementary School 1443 North Ogden Ave. Chicago IL, 60610

Placed in a third grade classroom at Ogden Elementary School. Responsibilities as a student teacher included observing student learning, teaching lessons, and shadowing a professional teacher. Provided tutoring sessions for students three times per week after school. Participated in teacher meetings, parent-teacher conferences, report card pick up, and professional development days.

June 08 – Present: Physical Therapy Aid 1550 north Northwest Highway, Park Ridge IL, 60068
Assisted physical therapists with their patients. Worked with the Ultrasound, Russian- Stimuli, H-wave, and all basic exercise equipment. In charge of answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and helping patients one on one with their physical exercises.

May 07- Dec. 08: Sales Representative at Lucy’s; Woman’s Active Wear, Northbrook Court, Northbrook.
Administered store activities/promotions, assisted customers, worked the register, handled money and deposited checks, helped with the store layouts, recorded sales and assisted the store manager.

Summers of 2005-2007: Tennis Coach, Tennis School, Glenview, IL.
Taught Tennis Skills and Strategies to participants between the ages of 5-20 years old.

HOBBIES

Sports including Tennis, Skiing and Racquet Ball. I also tremendously enjoy working with children. I love to travel and spend time with friends and family.
