I am looking for a part time internship or entry level type position where I can further my computer security, web and software development skills with a growing organization. I am looking for experience with DB, software, security, web or mobile apps. I am currently learning C#, Java, Python, some Linux/Unix commands and some web design including CSS. I was involved with the development of a start-up and a new tech industry for 8 years with this company. I developed the business at all levels. From the beginning I developed the website and the web marketing. As we grew, I lead the sales department as well as shipping and distribution. I was in charge of heading up the international distribution centers and have successfully set up distribution in Japan, Portugal, Italy and the UK. I was responsible for new product development, strategic alliances, sales, sales rep relations, marketing, web development and maintenance, search engine seeding, and responding to customer inquiries. Later I focused more on sales, management, conferences, trade shows and sales training. As you can see I have done a little bit of everything, which is always the case when managing a startup. By monitoring our sales and margins, I took the company from $9,000 in sales for the first quarter of 2001 to $220,000 for the first year, and eventually over $3M annually. I also increased the profit margins from 22% to 36% making the company profitable. The web site traffic has gone from 10 unique visitors per day to up over 5000 per day. The product catalog has grown from 25 products to over 700 products. In 2008 we sold the company to Ecotality, a Phoenix based organization focusing on renewable energy products whose strategy includes acquiring companies with related products or skills.



Inventory and Retail Manager, Art Mart LTD. Boulder, CO 80302 October 1999-July 2001
This position involved developing and managing an ecommerce web site and a sales staff of 35 people. Inventory management of a wide range of products from over 150 different vendors. The job included tracking of product levels and quality control as well as placing orders for more products to maintain adequate stock levels. Client and customer service are both important parts of this position. Maintaining accurate inventory records through data entry and monitoring sales reports are both key tasks of the position. It also includes responsibility for the shipping and receiving department as well as processing the e-commerce sales from the web site and web marketing and maintenance.
