Profile:
Hi! My name is Chelsea and I am a student at the University of Southern California. All my life has been spent surrounded by children. I have a younger sister and seven younger cousins that I spend tons of time taking care of and playing games with. At USC I study occupational therapy and I just took a course in childhood development. After attaining my masters in occupational science, my goal is to work as an occupational therapist for children. I really hope you’ll consider me to be your nanny because I know your kids would be in great hands and get the most out of their time with me!

Experience:
BABYSITTER; SAN DIEGO, CA –– 2003-2010
For the past seven years I have cared for babies and children of all ages. I always bring fun games for us to play and during the day I take the kids out to the park. I have taken kids to the zoo, to the San Diego County Fair, and to water parks as well! When I am babysitting, I care for the children by cooking them their favorite meals and cleaning up the kitchen and play area. A lot of the time the families I work for have dogs or cats and I absolutely love animals!

My most recent babysitting job I cared for two children for 4 years, the boy was 12 when I left and the girl was 6, and they also had a dog. I would care for them once a week and we would play games, watch movies, make paper airplanes and other crafts, and cook dinner. Sometimes I would listen to the girl practice piano and help her if she needed it. During the day we would take the dog to the park and bring frisbees and paddle ball to play with.

NANNY; SAN DIEGO, CA –– 2006-2007
My last year of high school I became a nanny for a family of three children and a dog. The oldest was a girl who was 13, the boy was 8, and the youngest girl was 6. I’d pick them up from school daily and take them home. First I’d make them snacks then I’d make sure they finished all their chores and then I’d help them with homework. We’d make sure to take the dog out and play catch. Lastly, I’d do the dishes and tidy up the house.

STUDENT WORKER, USC OFFICE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT; LOS ANGELES, CA –– 2007-PRESENT
Since my freshman year of college I have worked for the Vice President’s Office. I answer the phones, distribute the mail, file documents, and run errands.

HOSTESS, HUMPHREY’S BY THE BAY FINE-DINING RESTAURANT AND CONCERT VENUE; SAN DIEGO, CA –– SUMMERS OF ’07 AND ’08
At Humphrey’s I worked as a hostess, but I also had the responsibility of checking tickets for concerts and seating the for dinner according to the ticket. The restaurant is also attached to a hotel so sometimes I would help hotel guests with any questions they needed answered. The restaurant had a lounge with live music that I would collect cover charge for as well.

CAMP COUNSELOR, FRANCIS PARKER SCHOOL SUMMER CAMP; SAN DIEGO, CA –– SUMMER 2006
This was one of the most fun jobs I have ever had! I was in charge of monitoring and maintaining the safety of around 60 to 70 elementary school children when we would take them on summer outings to the beach, pool, water park, zoo, roller rink, and play grounds. Some activities I helped out with included kayaking, swimming, surfing, roller skating, and kite flying.

HOSTESS, TOP OF THE MARKET FINE DINING RESTAURANT; SAN DIEGO, CA –– SUMMER 2006
I worked here as a hostess taking and organizing reservations, assigning tables, and assisting servers.

DANCE INSTRUCTOR FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS, UCSD TECH TREK SUMMER CAMP; SAN DIEGO, CA –– SUMMER 2005
For a 2-week summer camp I taught a hip-hop dance class to middle school girls and they loved it! Some of them told my boss that my class was their favorite out of all the summer classes.
