I like to focus on helping beginner and intermediate students improve these specific categories of their playing:
- A working knowledge of musical style
- Technical ability
- Basic improvisation
- (for saxophonists) The saxophone sound and developing a good tone
- and most importantly good practicing habits
I intend to improve their playing as much as I can through helping them learn how to practice effectively and use exercises to improve all the categories listed above.
I\\\'ve been playing music since I was just 5 years old, and I\\\'ve been classically trained- but I still play jazz gigs around Atlanta. I play Piano, Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone and Soprano Saxophone- and can teach all of them.
I don\\\'t have a problem driving to your house to give the lesson.
