International Experience
Volunteer for Christian Friends of Korea (CFK), North Korea/China Spring Break 2010 (2 weeks); Great Britain/Netherlands Summer 2010 (2 weeks)
• Traveled with group of volunteers to multiple rest homes and hospitals in very remote areas of North Korea to confirm the arrival and distribution of shipments and to learn of new needs. This was a valuable opportunity to bring real change to local communities in need and to build relationships and trust despite a hostile international diplomatic climate between the two countries.
• Second trip involved traveling to Great Britain and the Netherlands to raise funds for food and medicine for CFK. Attended various business meetings with companies interested in donating to CFK.
Work Experience
Application Advertiser and Marketing Agent at Elevé Creations, Inc.
July 2010 - Present (1 year 7 months)
• My primary role has been to develop marketing and financial plans for each application released. At present, two different iPod/ iPad applications have been created, one of which was released (onDeck) onto the iTunes App Store last spring. The creation process for the two apps has been a learning experience for all involved within Elevé Creations and has provided the company with key insight into the app creation market. We are now working on a new application to be released within the next six months.

Summer Contract Work (Alaska)
June-August 2008-2011 (2 months each year)
• For the past four summers, I have worked in Alaska to complete various projects in Anchorage, Kennicott, and Homer. The work included the renovation of an 80-year old remote mining town’s blacksmith’s shop, tree felling for fire hazard remediation, and the reconstruction and repair of various houses and buildings. Skills gained included basic construction (foundation building, water and waste infrastructure, framing and roofing); power equipment maintenance, repair and safe operation; and teamwork development.

Summer Intern at Christian Friends of Korea
May 2011- June 2011 (2 months)
Primary responsibilities included migration of existing information to a new donor web interface and restructuring of the organization’s website to be more user friendly, to encourage traffic and expand donations to the non-profit through the website. The web interface designer was based in Korea, requiring strong communication skills despite time zone, cross-cultural and distance challenges. I also assisted with a variety of other projects as needed such as, social networking communication and developing web pages to provide additional funding.
