Hello,

My name is Alex and I am an 18 year old senior currently attending high school. I will be attending college full-time in the Fall (locally), but I am free most evenings and weekends and am eager to start saving for college. I have been brought up in a household where we all do our fair share and as such I am fully capable of cleaning any room indoors and have been in charge of all of our outdoor household maintenance (including car washing, lawn mowing, weed & tree trimming and clipping. Also, cleaning rain gutters, putting up, taking down outside lighting, etc. I have also spent some weekends helping a family friend who has his own concrete contracting company and when needed I would work for him as a day laborer from 5am till dark. I loved the work and am interested in that type of work as well, but I know that the constuction field is slow and competition is fierce.

My family has often been involved in community service and as a result we were active foster parents for 10 years. I am great with children and although we no longer have kids living with us, we often find ourselves sitting. Although I am a teenage male, I am more mature and responsible than most my age. Experience, and my parents, has taught me to be cautious, especially with regards to other people's children. I have changed diapers of infants and toddlers of both sexes and am comfortable playing at ground level whether it be a game of Transformers or a tea party:) I am also a good student and an excellent writer (Journalism major here:) so homework help would be a great passtime.

Although I am not Adult, Infant, and Child CPR certified my mother was an EMT and has gone over all of the basics and the changes to the procedures over the years. I plan to get my certification this Summer.
